Case Study - Asda

The Brief
As one of the big four supermarkets, Asda is one of the most recognisable business names in the UK. The business employs more than 145,000 people, and serves 18 million customers every single week.
With such a big economic footprint, Asda is present in a large number of parliamentary constituencies and has a good story to tell parliamentarians; whether that be about numbers of employees, apprentices supported, suppliers or contribution to local charities.
Dan Russell is the public affairs manager at Asda. He explains why they chose Polimapper to tell this story:
Why did you decide to publish constituency data about the business/for your campaign?
As a business, we have a significant amount of data, which we were manually pulling together from various internal sources ahead of meetings/events. We were looking for a way to collate that data together for quick reference and presentation.
“Polimapper prompted significant interest from Parliamentarians, who were keen to see our data simply and clearly presented for their constituencies.“
Why did you choose Polimapper to visualise this data?
Polimapper gives us the quick reference facility we needed, with an engaging, customisable and easy to use platform.
What was the impact of using Polimapper to show this data at a parliamentary reception?
We used Polimapper at our Parliamentary reception in November 2022. It was clear that the system prompted significant interest from Parliamentarians, who were keen to see our data simply and clearly presented for their constituencies.

How has Polimapper changed the way you plan for meetings/events with stakeholders?
It has made it easier for our team to quickly and easily access our data in advance of and during stakeholder engagement. When it comes to planning meetings/events, we know that we have an engaging platform to utilise, which forms a central part of our preparation.
